About the Creator
Built for Outside,
Shot Outside
I'm Mariia — an outdoor content creator based in Vancouver, BC. I spend most of my time on trails, along rivers, and in the rainforests of the Pacific Northwest, documenting what it actually feels like to move through wild places.
My content doesn't start with a mood board. It starts with a hike — gear on, camera rolling, wherever the trail leads. The result is content that reads as real because it is: real terrain, real effort, real light.
Athleta's Sun Sports collection is performance apparel built for exactly this kind of day. This shoot captures it in the environments it was designed for — coastal forests, river crossings, and the kind of slow movement that makes you forget you're exercising.
Campaign Overview
Sun Sports in the Field
A full day in the coastal rainforest and along a mountain river, dressed entirely in Athleta's Sun Sports collection. This campaign captures the line's core promise — quick-dry, UPF 40+, made to move — in the terrain it was engineered for.
No studio. No flat lays. Every frame was shot on location — wet rocks, moss-covered boulders, river light filtering through the canopy. The gear gets tested by the environment, and the content reflects that. Authentic performance, not aspirational posing.

Why This Works for Athleta
Performance Tested
by the Trail
Athleta has been building performance apparel for women who actually go outside. The Sun Sports collection — UPF 40+, quick-dry fabric, articulated movement — is designed for exactly the kind of days this shoot documents.
This content positions the collection where it belongs: in the field, on real terrain, worn by someone who runs trails, not treadmills.
The Pacific Northwest setting — dense rainforest, glacial rivers, dramatic rock formations — provides a visually rich backdrop that communicates Athleta's outdoor-first identity without saying a word.
